Stargazer Goodies...

Next, another haul! This time, its from Stargazer.

I got 2 Semi Permanent Eyeliner pens, one in Purple and one in Black (which was on holiday when I took this photo).
I got 2 of the Semi Permanent Lip Liner pens (basically a lip tint). I got one in 03, a wine colour, and one in 05, a cherry red (review coming soon!).
These colours are: 2 from the Opal range (242 and 246), and 3 from the normal range (117, 120 and 161). Sorry can't remember which is which! I love these colours though. If you like shimmery duochromes, the Opal range is amazing!

Beauty LAT- e.l.f. Order and Beauty Baron Mystery Box!

I got a little e.l.f. haul!

 Lots of lovely stuff!

Cream eyeliners in Golden and Plum Purple

Angled eyeliner brush, blush brush and powder brush. Am definitely going to do a comparison with the powder brush and my Sigma flat top kabuki!

Mineral eyeshadow primer. Really hoping this is good as I am so not willing to pay £14 for UDPP, however good it may be!

Blusher in Peachy Keen. I'm so glad to get this, I've never actually seen it in stock before now!

e.l.f. always has some interesting codes going, this time it was to get a free Mystery Box! (ooooooh)

I got the Nail Polish in Golden Goddess, the Flat Eyeliner Brush from the Mineral line, a Nail File set and a Shimmer Pencil in Plum Passion. I like the brush, polish and eyeliner, not so keen on the nail files (I prefer metal ones). I am a little disappointed I didn't get the Cream Blush I've seen in other boxes, but such is life!

There's also a 25% off sale on now (look on the FB page for codes). Have you indulged in any e.l.f. recently?

Lipstick Forever #6- Kate Moss for Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Shade 8

Packaging: It is simple packaging, and not massively luxe, but I actually think it's ok. It's certainly better than the neon pink of some of Rimmel's other lipsticks. It's maybe a tad flimsy feeling though.

Colour: I LOVE the colour of this. I almost never buy this kind of lipstick colour, but I really should! It's a beautiful dusky tea rose. It's not a MLBB shade, but still very wearable for day without being 'LOOK AT MY LIPSTICK'.
Application: This goes on fairly well, I would say that with Rimmel lipsticks I tend to find that it can emphasise the wrinkles and cracks on my lips (where I didn't think I had that many). A bit of lip balm underneath is a good idea!

Kiss Test: Ohhhhh I forgot to do one! Fail. A little bit comes off, but nothing worrying.

Lasting Power: Because this is a semi matte rather than a full on mega glossy affair, it lasts quite well. You will have to top up after a meal or hot drink, but it fades pretty evenly and wears well.

7.5/10- pretty good, although I'm not overly enamoured of the formula.

Foundation Forever #2- Soap & Glory Show Good Face 2 in 1 Foundation and Primer

Product: Soap & Glory Show Good Face 2 in 1 Skin Energizing Foundation & Primer
Shade: The Fairest of Them All
Price: £11, from Boots
Finish: Dewy, bright.
Skin Type and Colour: Combination (dry sensitive cheeks, oily T-zone). Very pale (N10 in Mac) neutral toned, but slightly more pink.

Packaging: Outside, it's the typical Soap & Glory retro cuteness, I'm a little disappointed by the actual bottle though. It's a bit bland and forgettable.

Colour: This is the palest shade- I wish it was a little paler. It doesn't look unnatural (it's quite sheer and you can easily blend it in) but if there were a paler shade I'd get that one instead. I can make do with this though. Not a wide range I believe though, just the 6 shades. Love the name though!

Please ignore how hideous I look in these... eurgh.

Application & Coverage: It goes on and blends very easily. The coverage is definitely sheer to low, this will not cover up a lot at all! However it does have a lovely brightening effect, particularly on my cheeks. Even though it is brightening, it's dry within seconds.

Best Way to Apply?: Fingers are fine, I think brushes would be fine too.

Lasting Power: Because it is such a sheer coverage, it's difficult to estimate lasting power. I would say it's ok, I'm not sure there was much left by the end of the day though.

Thoughts: This isn't usually my type of foundation, but actually... I like it. It's lovely for a little coverage for low key days. I'd probably say it was comparable to a tinted moisturiser in that respect. I do wish it had a bit more coverage, low would be fine but this is very low, it's more for evening out than covering blemishes. I do like the primer being in there so you don't have to use a separate one. I like it and will use it, not entirely sure it would be a repurchase though!

Rating: 8/10

NOTD- 17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Exquisite

Maybe I've been reading too many blog posts about Christmas nails, but I've been crushing on so many sparkly green polishes lately. I thought I probably should use the one I already own before buying 27 new ones *facepalm*.

It's not the biggest wildest shimmery polish I've ever seen, but it's very pretty and fairly grown up, and it has a lovely glow in the right light. This is 2 coats with top coat, it applied and dried pretty quickly. As of 4/5 days I have no chips but a fair bit of tip wear. I do wish it was a little bit bolder and more obvious with the shimmer, but if you want an unusual dark polish this one is really lovely. You can get this from Boots for £2.99.

FOTD #16- Sexy Smudge

It's clearly a FOTD kinda week! This was inspired by this Lisa Eldridge video- practically none of it is actually using the same products, it was definitely more 'inspiration' than a copy.

Face- no foundation or powder
Accessorize Merged Baked Blush in 3 Pretty Pink
Brazen Cosmetics Mineral Blush in Perfect 10

Eyes- Loreal Super Liner in Black (upper lash line)
Sleek Ink Pot Gel Liner (on lower lash line)
17 Va Va Voom Mascara in Black

Lips- Badger Balm Highland Mint Lip Balm
Revlon Colourburst Lipstick in Crimson

I love this look, it's sexy enough to wear out but also undone in a French, day after party way. You can't see but the Brazen blush is THE most glitterery thing in the world, I looked a bit discoball for day! I'm loving the Carbon Liner (which is the same or similar to the one Tiffany D mentions all the time). Even ham fisted people like me can apply it and make it look ok! Not keen on the Sleek liner on the waterline, adore it as a gel liner on the upper lash line though.

Also a brief hair shot:

I have no idea what to call this. French twist ponytail thing? It's super easy to do: make a low ponytail at your neck and secure with a hair tie, pull the hair tie out a little bit (only a little), make a little gap above the tie and loop your ponytail up through the front of the gap and pull down. Hopefully that's clear, but if you try it it's incredibly simple and looks awesome! It is slightly better though if your hair is a bit sleeker than mine is here, especially for a night look.

FOTD #15- Autumn Walk Look

This day's make-up was to go for a walk round a big local park, so it was full of lots of green and pink colours!

Face- MUA Pro Primer
Revlon Colourstay Foundation in 110 Ivory (Comb/Oily formula)
elf Complexion Perfection Powder
Accessorize Merged Baked Blusher in 8 Quiver

Eyes- Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in 250 Emerald Sparkle
Rimmel Extra Super Lash Building Mascara in Black

Lips- Sleek Pout Polish Spf 15 in 949 Perfect Plum

I always forget how amazing and pigmented the Pout Polishes are, must get more! Same for the Accessorize blushes- beautiful, I have two more on the way. I do like this eyeliner- not for waterlines, but for a pop of colour it's fantastic, and so easy to do (but looks like you've made an effort!). And photos from the walk:

SQUIRREL!

This llama is clearly a badass.

My baby. He so cute :)

Don't run on wet fields kids. It's a dumb idea.
